William (Billy) Deal:  

Life I was born on August 22nd, 1950 to Hinton Booth Deal and Lillian Mae York Deal in Phenix City, Alabama. I am an only child. I was raised in Phenix City, AL in the early years (up till age 4) and then we moved to Columbus, Ga. My dad passed away on March 8th, 1960 and I then moved to Donaldson, Arkansas with my mother's brother and wife (Felix and Elizabeth York). I remained in Arkansas until 1964 when my mom and I moved back to Columbus, GA. I completed high school at Jordan Vocational High School and graduated June 1970. I joined the Navy in June 1970 and went active duty in August 1970. (see Military Bio). My girlfriend in high school was Debra Longo. I took 3 years of Army ROTC and obtained the rank of Cadet Captain. I played football and track. I left Columbus when I went active duty in the Navy and never moved back. I went to Vietnam in 1971 and upon my return I married my first wife, Carol Ann Cavicchi from Quincy, MA. We remained married until December 1991. In June of 1991, a week after her 70th birthday, my mother died as a result of a snake bite in Phenix City, Al. On March 18th, 1992 I married Yvonne T. Dupont.
